January 2008:

Well, we are excited and ready to take on a new year. We are anxiouxly expecting fainting goat kids to start popping out. Unfortunately, looks like some of the early breedings didn't take, so most of the does are pregnant from their 2nd and 3rd breedings. Should have some spectacular kids.

We had a couple losses towards the end of last year that were no fun. PGCF Elvira was killed by coyotes and she was growing into a beautiful young doe. Also, sufferd a couple boughts with coccidiosis.

With another year ahead of us, we continue to progress in the management of our herd. We are beginning a relationship with a new vet and hope to begin testing this year for CAE, CL, & Johne's disease.
